Ube Maja Blanca

Our ube take on the iconic Maja Blanca highlights the rich aroma and color of Elufa Ube FlavorPlus, giving you a smooth, classic texture without corn kernels. Finished with grated cheese, it’s the familiar Filipino holiday dessert everyone loves—easy, creamy, and comforting.

Ingredients

Maja Blanca Base

  • 1–1½ tsp Elufa Ube FlavorPlus

  • 2 cups Coconut Milk

  • 1 cup Cornstarch

  • ¾ cup Sugar (adjust to taste)

  • 1 cup Water or Fresh Milk

Topping

  • Grated Quick-Melt Cheese or Cheddar Cheese

Procedure

  1. In a bowl, dissolve the cornstarch in water or milk. Set aside.

  2. In a saucepan over medium heat, combine coconut milk and sugar. Stir until fully dissolved.

  3. Add Elufa Ube FlavorPlus and mix until evenly colored and aromatic.

  4. Slowly pour in the dissolved cornstarch while stirring continuously to prevent lumps.

  5. Continue stirring until the mixture thickens and becomes smooth and glossy.

  6. Pour into a lightly greased dish and smooth the surface.

  7. While still warm, sprinkle generously with grated cheese.

  8. Let cool, then refrigerate for at least 2 hours until fully set. Slice and serve.
